CORT does it again!!!!

CORT does it again!!!

Cort Furniture Rental Indianapolis provided the opportunity for ANYONE (design, staging, real estate and business professionals - anyone interested in growing their business) to attend the  StagerLIST Expo 2 days for the price of 1.

Cort furniture rental does it again.  As their press release in May of 2009 and Karen Otto's reporting on the real facts of the matter... http://activerain.com/blogsview/1066545/cort-partners-with-home-stagers-to-bring-staging-services-to-a-growing-segment

Senior Vice President Mark Koepsell said "Cort is leveraging its long standing relationship with the staging community to bring the home staging program to our partners and help them sell homes faster."  Cort has demonstrated their commitment to the industry throughout the year and we are excited to be part of that dynamic as StagersLIST shares that goal.   StagersLIST Expos are a collaboration of products, services, speakers and training venues to bring exposure to real estate/staging professionals  a variety of the business building opportunities and collaborations available to them.

THANK you Cort for your support of this quality event.  Babette and Catherine have been just wonderful to work with, just like their counterparts In Expo Orlando, Pete Regules and Dave Davis, and Expo Houston Lisa Bradley and Amber Dorn.   Cort has been a huge supporter of the StagersLIST Expos across the country and we are expecting a great event in Indianapolis next month as well.

Melissa Marro in the house...

Cort Furniture Rental in Indianapolis this September 29 and 30th...

Melissa MarroMany of you follow Melissa regularly on Facebook, Twitter and Active Rain.  WELL would you love to hear from her lips what she does to get market share in her area?  She is the queen of ignoring the press, and doomsayers and just going about the business of business... when she later comes up for air and hears others were having struggles, she is puzzled as she's been busy.  What is that?  It's partly her work ethic and personal ethic about working hard and just keeping the focus... and probably her very high customer satisfaction rating which leads to lots of referrals from past clients.

So would it be fun to hear her talk about how she makes her portfolio and presentation dynamic and gets the job??? Or marketing for explosive sales and what she does to gain that high market share?  WELL, you can...she'll be sharing those secrets an more at the Indianapolis StagersLIST Expo next week.  We have rooms at a local hotel and have people who are willing to share to keep costs down.  AND CORT is generously making it possible to attend 2 days for the price of 1... so signing up for this expo gets you 2 days of workshops, speakers, networking and one on one time with top professionals in various areas of expertise.  Visit one of the links above to take advantage of the Cort 2 for 1. See you next week.

Knack for decorating and "fluffing"-NOT!

Knack for decorating and Fluffing-NOT!

You've heard of home staging which has been around for years and embraced by some Realtors as a marketing tool and is now almost a household word.  However, the fluffing of 8 years ago, has evolved into a systematic and sophisticated marketing tool, taking a home, and reinventing it as a product with the lifestyle and target buyer demographic utilitized as the starting point.  The putting a chair cover on a plastic chair or table and greenery on every surface is no longer utilized by the professional home stager of 2009.  The successful home stager of today is no longer the hobbyist who has a "knack" for decorating.

In addition, most professional home stagers can no longer utilize their garage or spare room to house their inventory.  The ability to accommodate a large variety of property styles and buyer demographics means that they will have some or all of these - a helper, crew, truck and storage and/or warehouse and/or affiliations with furniture rental companies in order to bring the right furniture and accessories, not just the furniture and accessories leftover in their garage.

The before and after portfolio is the stager's own work, showing a variety of styles, not the same furniture and accessories shown in different rooms and arrangements because it is what they have in the garage.

If you have encountered a professional home stager, you get all this and more.  You owe it to yourself to try a stager of this caliber for your listings.  You'll be amazed at the differences in your staged listing, the speed of the sale and the BUSINESS home staging has become.   Realtors, A home staging professional can double your effectiveness and impact on your listed properties and the sale.  Your clients will respect and appreciate the professionalism that enhances your "team" image and the knowledge that the professional home stager brings to the transaction.   (Color, focal points, emphasis, staging excellence, demographics, architecture and sooo much more)  Your clients will see the difference and so will you.

The Best PR for the money? Please take our short questionnaire...

SO if you are having an event and need some PR, locally, regionally, nationally, internationally...who do you use?  I know social media is great, but does it fill the bill for everything you do?  Don't you need some press out there that is not related to your blog post?  Can you count on social media to be your Press Release vehicle?  I'm not sure, as I know after a while when I get ads and press releases about certain things that I've read, heard about before, I become less likely to click on them again and again, just because it's another class in a different area of the country, know what I mean?  SO what do you do?  WHAT DO YOU DO?

Do you use PR services?

Do you use them more than once a month?

Do you use a free service?

Hos good is it?

Do you pay a fee?

How Much?

Do you think you get what you want for the dollars invested?

Who writes the Press releases?    You ?  someone you hire?   your company?  your boss?   your partner?
