Listed yesterday, on the market today. They called me to list their home and had read and learned about staging through their home search. Perhaps looking at my newsletters and listed properties helped too...I'd like to think so. SO, this is literally the FIRST and probably ONLY home I've ever listed that I didn't have to rearrange something, stage in some fashion. It's just about perfect.

It is good to list a house that shows well. I once listed a 2 year old home that looked like the model home , while they were still building in the community and people would think it was the model home.
Terrylynn, Isn't it nice to be in a home that feels and looks good from the minute you walk in. Your clients apparently got some good adice AND the value of staging/redesign.
Good for your sellers! I think you still make the point that it is rare for a seller to adequately prepare their house for sale without some professional guidance.
That is a rare occasion, isn't it. Kudos to your sellers for "getting it" and making sure their home is market ready.
Terrylynn, That home is adorable! Pride of ownership is written all over that place.
Very cute house, Terrylynn! When we sold our first house about 17 years ago, I staged it before I even knew there was a thing called "staging". It sold to the first people who looked at it. I'm glad these clients of yours "get it".
I'm sure they learned from you, and maybe a bit from some of the staging shows. Also, staging has been in your area for quite awhile; still pretty new to mine! BTW, how many square feet is this house? I love seeing how the prices compare with those in Michigan!
You need to show us some inside shots of the "perfect" home. Let us know how quickly it goes under contract!
Hi stranger, I've missed you!
Your seller may be a future Home Stager.
I went in a house today that had more animals than a forest! The only difference was these were hanging on the walls! I'm talking EVERY room of the house.
Terrylynn,
Cute little bungalow! Looks like your clients really did their homework here, best wishes for a quick sale!
Hi TerryLynn, sometimes that happens, people who know the ropes and prepare before the listing agent gets their first peek. I would imagine having the home show ready, would also garner a higher listing price eh?
Terrylynn, what a compliment you gave the homeowners here that they were GOOD TO GO as is. And a mark of your professionalism too.
Gita, thanks for your comments. Yes I was surprized what good students my clients were and pleasantly surprized.
Carole, thanks for commenting...and your kind words. I am pleased and thanks for the compliment.
Linda, very rare, they did a great job and I am appreciative of their efforts. I know what it takes.
Nancy, yes Kudos to them. People ARE getting it, they are. It's validating.
Jackie, so GOOD to see you here... THANKS for commenting and your kind thoughts.
Diana, well yes, you are one of the naturals...talent you probably don't take for granted, but perhaps don't realize how rare it is. Lucky girl.
Kathi - 833 square feet...but very beautifully done perfect portions. My client has the knack, too...
Patsy - www.1331Delacy.com all the inside shots are there...that I could get anyway. It's cute but it's the double lot that is the real draw too.
Donna, yes that might just be her next career step. She is unique. In 32 years, my first that could translate what she knows to the talent of doing her own home.
Lisa, oh MY...hate that the most. Heads looking at you in every room...drat.
Michelle, thank you. I think it will sell quickly at this price.
Terry Lynn, yes one hopes. That's the hope. We'll let you know.
Gary, your words always mean alot. THANK you for commenting.
That must be quite a pleasure to be able to say move in ready, and mean it!
Cindy, YES it was. Often I have to build in a week, a month or more for the work that needs to be done...this was pure pleasure. And they are such good students of staging and listened to every word. Pure joy. Thanks for the comment .
