Why do we share our expertise with our competition??? Or are they peers, who would share with us?
Why do we write posts giving answers to questions asked? Or why not, because for everyone we answer we are given answers to our questions?
Why do we travel the country to seek out those we've met here? Because this forum has made the world a smaller, more intimate place and friendships are attainable and sustainable from longer distances than ever before.
WHY??? Well I have a theory. It is that when we give without expecting anything in return, we get it back because the universe just has to reciprocate your good thoughts and good actions. So the reverse might be true, if we invest our time in negative thoughs we might get negative back ...OHHH NOOOO not me. And not most of you from what I've observed.
I want to say thanks. WHY? Because when we might not be feeling so cheerful, we can always find a cheerful post and kind word and inspiration in a post of a friend, acquantance or newbie here on AR...
WHY? Why NOT? Thanks my friends, you know who you are. For the answers, the questions, the good thoughts, inspiration, and the hugs and thanks when we bring our StagersLIST Expos to you out there in the world. Why do we do it? Well because we love and respect this profession and feel that everyone deserves education and knowledge that we've found valuable...perhaps you will too. AND at the very least we get to meet our friends and find out what is going on it their neck of the woods. What a wonderful opportunity, for all of us. Sharing, caring, questions, answers, inspiration...we get as much as we give. And we just can't get enough. See you next EXPO...in a City near you.

I appreciated reading your post. I agree these type of social networks have opened a whole new world of connecting, it is great. The world is getting smaller everyday allowing for better connections and building relationships like never before. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. A friend in NH.
Terrylynn you certainly are a giver and it's good to hear that you are getting back in whatever way that might be. THANK YOU for all that you do to help promote the staging industry and for helping us with understanding the realtor side of things. Mahalo.
Great post Terrylynn!! I've attended 2 stagerslist expos and definately recommend that if you can drive (or even fly) there, then you really should!!! There is so much good stuff, particularly the meeting friends we haven't met in person yet!
Some people are givers, Terrylynn. (You certainly fall in that category.) For givers, it is so easy to share what you know, even if it is with people who could be considered competition. Because you are absolutely right - it comes back threefold!

I think we share because by sharing our experience and reading others we learn so much. We could all go to school all day and not come out with the knowledge that we receive here in the rain.
hey there! thx for all you do for our industry! real estate and home staging alike! We are all in this together!
lovely sentiments, thank you for sharing. It is nice to know that we are all in this together.
Terrylynn; such a nice article, and so true! I've found that one similar thread running through all of the stagers that I've met is that they are "givers". They give of their time, expertise, and knowledge, because they know they really can make a difference. Not just to home owners, but to other stagers, too. I've met the most wonderful people in this profession!
You know me, Terrylynn, it's all depsoits in the Bank of Karma ;-) Thanks you as well for sharing yourself with all of us
Great post Terrylynn! How are you!!? I haven't said talked to you in a long time it seems, as AR is hit and miss for me lately! Yes, I believe you get what you give, what goes around comes around, and all the other sayings....... They are true. Thanks for the time you spent with me on making my license work for me, I still think about how much that helped me........Have a wonderful week :)
Terrylynn, I'm glad you and others are out there willing to share so much! Goodness knows how helpful it's been to me over the last year. If it hadn't been for AR I may have given up already.
There was such a generous and friendly spirit about the StagersLIST Expo I had the joy of attending, and you are one of the main reasons for that! Thanks for all you share with us!
Karen, you are so right. We give and we get more back.
