Sale of designer décor through StagersLIST.com to benefit Habitat for HumanityInterior Designer Melissa Galt offers beautiful items and opportunity to support Habitat for Humanity
Atlanta, GA - Atlanta Interior Designer Melissa Galt, great-granddaughter of architect and icon Frank Lloyd Wright, is offering many of her treasured home furnishings for sale on StagersLIST.com -- and donating 10 percent of the proceeds on items purchased by June 16 to Habitat for Humanity. Melissa's family history is connected to beauty in the home environment, and beauty of spirit.
"I chose www.StagersLIST.com because they too are in the home beautification business and wanted to join me in giving back. And Habitat for Humanity makes lives beautiful by building homes for families who otherwise could not afford them. I want my good fortune to support the good fortune of others," Galt says.
Items for sale (some never used) include top-quality furnishings, original art pieces from $100 to $500, hand-crafted rugs, designer upholstery, case goods and much more at incredible prices of less than half their original value. Ten percent of every Melissa Galt item sold on www.StagersLIST.com by June 16 goes to Habitat for Humanity to help build a home for a worthy family.. Shipping is available on most purchases, so take a look at the treasures at bargain pricing.
Galt is the daughter of Academy award-winning actress Anne Baxter and god-daughter of famed Hollywood costume designer Edith Head. Inspired by her illustrious heritage and desire to encourage everyone to live life to the fullest, Galt has written Celebrate Your Life! The Art of Celebrating Every Day and will include a copy of her book with each purchase. StagersLIST.com has become a key resource for homeowners and professional stagers to purchase new and used furnishings for staging their homes and businesses. Launched in May by Professional Stager Kym Hough and Realtor and Staging Consultant Terrylynn Fisher, the auction-based site provides an ideal vehicle to sell and buy new and used home furnishings BUT that's not the best part. The Site is launching this summer an ASK the EXPERT feature for homeowners and realtors to ask Expert Stagers (our Charter Partners) from their cities staging questions at no COST. For more information on StagersLIST.com or information on becoming the Charter Partner in your area, contact Kym Hough, 925-212-1833 or Kym@StagersLIST.com or Terrylynn Fisher, 925 876-0966 or Terrylynn@StagersLIST.com .

Terrylynn, What a wonderful thing for her to do while helping to support Stagerslist and Habitat for Humanity....I'm sure her items will be a hit!
How exciting, Terrylynn! Sounds like a winner for all involved!!!
Terrylynn, I saw this on your site. I am very impressed with your draw of such a celebrity! Great items. Thanks!
Terrylynn, I am all for giving back to your community. A few years ago, I volunteered with my old company for Habitat. I definitely respect someone who can find the time to give back like Melissa Galt. AJ
Carole, Elaine as always you guys are such wonderful supportive people, THANKS for commenting.
Anon, good, just assuming you were not on your home computer, so I can't thank you in person. Thank you for your kindness.
AJ. THANKS, we think so too, that's why we agreed to help her effort. She's good people. What I love about AR is that there are good people all over the place and they'll all come here.
Terrylynn: That title was a mouthful - I just had to stop and see what it was about. What a wonderful opportunity for Habitat for Humanity and Stagers List - and all us stagers who get to shop there. It is always wonderful to see people who have giving to those who don't. Thanks for posting this an alerting us to the wonderful stuff Melissa has for sale.
Aloha Terrylynn,
How exciting to have such illustrious benefactors supporting a wonderful cause through your website. Best wishes and big sales!
Peace,
Mom - As you know, I totally want that John Lennon print she's selling! She has some good stuff for sure.
Hi Terrylynn, What an awesome opportunity to give back to the community and get some great stuff to boot! The women behind StagersLIST have got great heads on their shoulders!
And I totally believe that Chris Fisher deserves that John Lennon print Mom!
Uhhhh Karen, to go with her 500 original record albums and a thousand cd collection? Oh my, can't start another collection. The beanies of my granddaughter nearly broke me.
Terrylynn, who could resist stopping by after you start with FLW. Among my numerous decorating books there are also a number of books which are about Mr. Wright and his work. Of course the way many of his homes were designed there would be no need for the likes of a home stager. Can't help it; I still love his work. All this information is simply fantastic. Way to go!!!
Yvonne, well you can write the follow up blog and elaborate on Melissa's great grandfather, that would be lovely. I didn't have room in this post, but you could write away, I'd like to hear all the tidbits you have gathered. and, I'm sure Melissa would love it too.
It is a cause dear and near to our hearts. All of the Stagers we meet tell us that its the one cause they really feel strongly about. I, personally, set a small percentage of each staging job for this cause and look forward to presenting them a check at the end of the year. The CSP program turned me on to it and I am so grateful for it. I look forward to one day going for a week to somewhere in the country with my daughter and help build a house! I think it would be a great event for Stagers everywherre to do the same. Maybe we at www.StagersLIST.com should organize it? Yep, I think so...I am putting it on the list :)
Melissa has some great stuff..OMG I want the pear pictures so bad. Kym
Thanks for the nudge Karen, but I really wasn't hinting! Just a statement of fact. It's a limited edition and signed by Yoko. Which makes it more valuable to some and less to others I guess, depending on your Yoko stance. : ) She has lots of other original art too, art is a hard thing for me to resist.
Chris
Um,,,,gulp...yoko, John Lennon $3500...I'd do anything for my girl, BUT...maybe at an auction, perhaps we can talk Melissa into an auction, that's it.
Terrylynn: This is an awesome post--(why is there an X over the feature?) anyway, I have always loved Wright's work--he was so ahead of his time. I've had the pleasure of viewing a few homes (in Pasadena, CA) that he designed. Thanks so much for sharing this!!
LOVE your signature...something else I have to learn.
Kat - I don't know. Asked the AR rain gods and haven't had an answer, maybe that's the charity logo? Will be curious myself. Thanks for reading the post, Melissa is excited about her move, but the giving up of her things another challenge. I guess we all turn into clients when we move, huh?
Edith Head is one of my top fav costume designers - now that was attention to detail and luxury.
Terrylynn: THANKS. Go to My Lives Signature and you'll have one in seconds.
