GUESS WHO? Terrylynn Fisher and Fernando Rosado, AR's very own. We want to thank Google for the mention...seriously folks, have you checked in with Google lately, never know what brilliant thing you wrote that has been noticed and mentioned. Of course our articles are brilliant, right Fernando? But it IS worth putting yourself on and checking now and then to see what pops up. You never know where and when you might be mentioned.
So friends, just read these blog posts and then go to http://www.google.com/alerts and sign up. Google sends you regular updates on things written with your search words. It's that easy. Here is what popped up on us today, two posts we had written this week of connection to real estate staging association. SO, there you go.

Great tip and post. Thanks.
Okay Terrylynn, I've booked marked this and I'm going to do it right after I clean out my garage tomorrow.
I agree. It is a very useful service! It is a great way to stay on top of things.
It was brought to my attention earlier and it escaped my mind. Thanks for bringing it to my attention again.
Terrylynn, I use Google Alerts for my name and company name. It's always a good feeling to know the "Google Juice" is working. Thanks.
Great post, TerryLynn. I too have my alerts set up with Home Staging Atlanta as well as my company name. It's a great way to see what hitting Google.
Kathy
Kirk, I know. Whatever we can do to help the awareness is a good thing.
Susan, clean the garage!!! Oh my goodness. Glad I'm not there, I'd want to help and perhaps get some treasures for staging, but then my garage is overflowing already.
Those alerts are good. I get alerts on Julia Maher, the travler in China; as well as Julia Maher, the rock singer...no, they're not all me! But I also get alerts on any Staging article published in CT (none since I started the alerts). Julie
Hi Terrylynn, I have had google alerts for a good while.. I have them for name, business name and many other key words for staging and our other business - vacation rentals in the Smokies.. It's amazing what pops up - a lot that does not apply.. I was found by someone from NC while she was in the Phillipines(I think). She had an alert for a town in NC and I came up so she commented on my AR blog.. God bless,
I too signed up for google alerts awhile back; I'm so glad you wrote this because I'm sure there are other key words I could be using. I'll be checking back....
the more specific the better or you will really get a lot of stuff that have nothing to do with you.
With our company Re$ale Design & Home Staging we get alerts for anything to do with resale and ale. That $ sign just throws everything off.
I have mine set up for Atlanta Home Staging but never thought about setting it up for my company name...hhhmmm, something to consider.
Those key words pick up a lot of irrelevant posts because of the word 'staging' but it's also brought quite a few posts to my attention that I may not have otherwise picked up on. It also lets me know if my posts are being picked up because those are key words I want to be found under.
TerryLynn, Very true. I did this about a month ago and it's amazing to see what pops up about my name. Most of the times it is not related to me, but it still interesting.
Hope your involvement on activerain means you get TONS of alerts...and TONS of business!
Thanks,

Julie, well hope you are having as much fun as your counterpart in parts unknown.
Cheryl, NC to Phillipines to AR to YOU. Love that route. Never know how people will find us?
Terrylynn, I sure wish I had read this earlier, I was surprised to learn many people aren't aware of this......and they need to be! I could have directed them here...
Brandon - I know, and just at your computer everyday is what you need to know about. Sometimes that's a good thing, huh? Other times we get lured away from the business at hand.
Trunda - so here's your reminder yet again. Signed up yet?
Konnie, you'll soon be a believer, as you'll see yourself growing out there on the wwweb
What a surprise to see my face on your post Terrylynn . Funny how 2 years ago I had no idea what a blog was , or google or anything like that. I have come a loooong way! Thank you for passing this info to all our peers. Thanks Terry !
I get mine daily. It even alerts me if someone else has posted something I've written too, which is priceless!
Terrylynn,
Great recommendation. I just signed up for Google alerts about a week ago and enjoy getting the daily emails. So far what I have seen is my own posts but I guess that is the point of it. It is amazing what GOOG can do.... we are playing catch-up in the tech land but hey, it is never too late and we have made a lot of progress and growth in the last couple of months !
Terrylynn, I hope it's ok that I put this link up in my post comments on Plagarism. I'm thrilled that you wrote about it because I wasn't aware so many people were unfamilliar with it!
Terrylynn, thanks so much for the info, we are going to set up Google Alerts today.
Donna, THANKS would love to see how it all works and getting more notice is always a good thing. Thank you.
Carole, no problem at all, my pleasure.
Terrylynn: Thanks for the tip! I just added a few terms on my Google Alert! I didn't know that was a feature. :-)
Michelle, my pleasure, it's actually kind of fun once you get the hang of it, huh?
Fernando, my pleasure, you know we're some of your biggest fans.
Done, now I'll sit back and see what googles up! Thanks
Thanks for the tip!
Great tip ,thanks I wonder if Google canada has an alert post, have to check it out
I am and just had to send a not so nice email to a plagiarist. After Google alerted, I followed up w/www.copyscape.com
Angela, I know it's kind of an adventure, huh?
Wendy, no problem, it was fun and an interesting search and nice to have the stuff coming up being truly our stuff, rather than an abuse. It's better for business.
Great tip. I'll have to look into that!
I did sign up and it is so interesting what comes up -- thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for the info. Good to know about this.
Susan, you'll like seeing yourself in print in addition to finding out that no one is plagerizing your writing.
Margaret, I know. You are most welcome.
Lisa, Yes, hoping to see you in Portland tomorrow.
Terrylynn -
Thanks for the great info. I just signed up. Very helpful, as usual.
Kelly, You are most welcome. Thanks for the comment.
Kelly, You are most welcome. Thanks for the comment.
Mr Jean Marie, thinking they do, Canada is often a step ahead of us. SO...what did you find out?
This is what I love about Active Rain! Where else would I learn these things??There is so much out there!
Thanks Terrylynn!
Allegra - You are most welcome. THANKS so much for your comment.
True, it's amazing who picks you up or where info. about you is found. It's almost a little scary that we have so much exposure.
Cindy, yes it's pretty scarey actually. Everything we say is just out there in the world. And then we have to police it to be sure it's not stolen? Something wrong with that picture.
