Say that 10 times real fast!!!
This is not a discussion about whether to faux or not to faux... Our opinions on that topic have appeared in many other blog posts, however after viewing these contest entries some of you might reconsider. Without further ado this is ...dah, dah, dot dah dah...
Announcing the results of the StagersLIST faux food contest and winner of $100 of StagersLIST faux food from our website. (That's a lot of faux...)
The photos down the side are thumbnails, if you'd like to see the full photos in the room settings for perspective, please visit www.StagersLISTContests.com and view the whole layout.
There were 16 entries ...as you can see they were all amazing and tastefully done for the settings they were used in. We loved collecting them all and only CHRIS knew who they belonged to and we didn't let her vote. (Actually it's been a long 6 weeks having her mouth taped shut so she's happy it's over too.)
The winner is: Mary DeBella of Northwest Staging and ReDesign! Congratulations, Mary! Here is the winning photo:

Kathi Presutti was a very close second with this photo:

Honorable mention goes to Lachelle Johnson, Amy Powers, Michelle Kaspari... and the others were close behind. We really did have a hard time voting, the entries were so well done. Thank you so much, all who participated! Thanks also to our charter partners for taking the time to vote.
Congratulations Mary, now it's time for you to go shopping at StagersLIST.com and pick out your $100 worth of free faux!

Peg, ah huh!! We just know Mary is one of those stagers that really knows her stuff in addition to being VERY talented.
Oh darn, I didn't know there was a contest.
No matter how much time I spend in the rain, I can't keep up with it all.
Elaine, I know being a charter partner has all kinds of perks...We love it that you are with us too.
Oh my Gosh!!!! I'm shocked! There were such fabulous entries I didn't think I had a chance! Well, I am honored to receive the award - does this come with a tiara! ;-)
I can't wait to go fee-fi-faux-food-finding! How fun to shop and I don't even have to spend any money! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the honor. This arrangement was fun to put together and is in a $2.8 million house nearby. I hate to take it apart when it is time to destage! I love the giant kale bunches that are out nowadays. You can't see it very well, but there is one large white one and two purple ones mixed in with the bread. I need to have a sign - eating the props is strictly prohobited :-)
Thanks Chris and gang (Chris - let me know how much I owe you later!!)
Congratulations, Mary! I love the kale which adds such texture and color. All of the entries are just beautiful.
Congratulations Mary! I'm honored to come in second, after your wonderful work! And it goes to show ya--faux can be fab for any house, no matter the price point--my photo is from a $199,000 bachelor pad!! Thanks to all the judges, and to you, Terrylynn for a fun and informative contest!
Congrats to the winners! The bread basket is beautiful..definitley has sparked some ideas from seeing all the contestant entries! Thanks for creating such a great contest!
Michelle

Kathy A. - I love that too, adds so much to the arrangement.
Kathi - You do beautiful work lady. Very nice and loved seeing it in the Kiplinger piece. Perfect for the setting. And number 2 is just a milisecond from GOLD if you watched the olympics and you are a WINNER in our book everyday. And, look for the next contest.
Michelle and Joe, You are most welcome...your entry was really great too...Thanks for entering. See you at a Roundtable? How is that RESA chapter going up there?
Wendy and Leah, I guess it was close as the Charter Partners had a hard time choosing between them. I like the photos too, it's so much more descriptive and illustrative of the examples, isn't it?
