Stagers Take Note - NJ Realtor tells others the effects of staging!!!

Peter Ciurczak Picture of Real Estate Agent: Peter Ciurczak (REMAX Diamond Realtors - The Luz Group)

This is the news you've been waiting for!!!  From a Realtor's lips, you'll want to comment on this blog post.

http://activerain.com/blogsview/732480/Staging-helps-in-more-ways-than-just-selling-a-home

THIS is Peter Ciurczak, from Edison, New Jersey.  He is a Realtor who says that staging helps in more ways than just selling a home...WOW!  We like this!  He has noticed that sellers who come to his open houses talk about how nice the homes look and then he has the opportunity to tell them about his services, including home staging and he's getting more listings and making more money.  THIS is NEWS.  THIS is something you all have been wanting to hear from a Realtor, right?  SO, perhaps you want to take this blog and show it to your target Realtors.  The point is that there are many added benefits of staging that are as important as the actual staging as it relates to their client's satisfaction, their client's equity upon sale and the future of their marketing plan.  Stagers, go get'm.

Terrylynn - great post and thanks for sharing the link.  It makes incredible sense that this Realtor would get "more" listings showing a staged home. Imagine yourself as a soon-to-be-seller and you entered one of his listings.  I too would be impressed!  Again, thanks for sharing.

Terrylynn, staging coupled with real estate services is a powerful combo, no doubt about it.

Terrylynn, Realtors here definitely see the value in it--I believe some are having a difficult time trying to get the message through to their clients.  But they support staging and know that homes sell faster--AND for more money in most cases!

Yeah!!!!!! A realtor taking the time to tell of his positive experience using home staging as a marketing tool.

We need more like this.

I suggest that we ask our Realtors that we have a good relationship with to please post their findings here on AR.

Let's see if we can get the ball rolling and create a positive buzz about our industry.

Kathy, I just wanted stagers to know that the light bulb is going on for some and that it will happen again and again.  I was thrilled with the innocence in which he wrote this.  It is charming and just how the evolution of thought occurs.

Gary, yes, no doubt about it, and then we take Carole and Feng Shui and WOW, we are unbeatable!!!

Carole, that's actually true, Realtors often DO get it to a much larger degree than stagers realize, it's often the circumstances or client that needs educating And it can be touchy how much to push.  It's difficult especially so in these economic times.  Oh you'll be entertained to know Chris has just analyzed her relationship corner...of the house...photos of cats and her daughter, which is great, but it explains why all the strays have kittens in her yard...just have some adorable ones we have to get homes for.  She laughed about that one and is moving the cats photo tomorrow.

I do think we sometimes focus so much on the benefits of staging for the seller and forget that it benefits the realtor as well. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for this. I can't tell you how many clients tell me that their REA's tried to talk them out of staging.

Michelle, the buzz is a good thing and I think AR was started on Buzz...it was a nice piece though how he actually seemed surprized and pleased with the result.

Linda, how right you are, and the key is getting the Realtor to "get that" and here's one who does.  And I just loved how he wrote the post as his thought process was evolving and he was "getting it".  It is charming.

Looks like Pete will gets lots of stager love for that one, thanks for sharing his post with us. Don't ya think his way of including it as part of his service distills the qualms a client might have? That was my favorite part...

Ronelle, thanks for your comment.  Yes, I do think so, it was my favorite part too.

It is absolutely a fact that staged homes feel warmer and more inviting. I've watched the difference it has on potential buyers many times. When a buyer walks into a well-staged home, they want to stay. The longer they stay in the home, the better the chance that they will buy it. GREAT STUFF! GBU~

I'm fortunate that I have only had a couple of vacant homes, and I did have them staged, which worked very well for everyone involved.

Elizabeth, thanks for the comment.  You are correct, the longer they stay, the more you potentially have a buyer rather than a lookey lou...

Karen, you are most welcome.  Glad it worked for you.  Just thought it was a positive one, and so shows how people can come to their senses...and right there on AR...He was charming.

Hi Terrylynn - staging is as important as turning on the lights and opening the shades... Just do it!
